Missouri Gov. Mike Parson approved the proposed boundaries for Missouri’s eight congressional districts on Wednesday by signing HB 2909, according to a press release.

According to the press release, HB 2909 “maintains the current partisan split in Missouri’s congressional districts, six Republican leaning districts and two Democratic leaning districts.” Parson said in the release that during this past session “a few individuals” hindered important legislation and that they promoted “inefficient and ineffective government” via political posturing. Parson also noted a loss of time and productivity.
